    Nadeau, Joseph
Picture of Joseph Nadeau in Fort Kent Centenial 1869-1969, page 2. The caption below the picture contains errors. Joseph was born in 1809 and not 1805 according to the St Basile parish registers. Joseph was married to Seraphine Martin on 28 Nov 1834. His step-brother, Romain Michaud was the one married to Flavie. He married his second wife, Alice, the daughter of Michael White and Mary Catherine Kavanaugh, on 6 Mar 1848 at Ste Luce, with whom he had 7 children.

!ERRATA: Corrections from 'The Nadeaus of Fort Kent' by Guy Dubay in the St John Valley Times on Jun 21, 1995 - Jose married Sepraphine Martin, Flavie's older sister in 1834. Flavie married Romain Michaud, Jose's step-brother. Jose next married Elisa (Alice) White, daughter of Michael White and Mary Kavanaugh, who are both buried in the old cemetary across from St Louis.
