    • The article "from Catherine Baillon to Charlemagne" by René Jetté, John P. DuLong, Roland-Yves Gagné. and Gail F. Moreau in the American-Canadian Genalogist, Issue 82, Vol 25, Number 4 in footnote 12 on page 178 indicates that in some documents the seigneuries appears as Champagne, in others as Champaigne. It should not be confused with the larger province of Champagne.

      Thus, I used Seigneur de Champaigne as shown in No 5. in the Ascending Line from Catherine Baillon to Charlemagne on page 174
