Flavie married Romain Michaud, Jose's step-brother. Jose next married Elisa (Alice) White, daughter of Michael White and Mary Kavanaugh, who are both buried in the old cemetary across from St Louis.

Joseph was married to Seraphine Martin on 28 Nov 1834. His step-brother, Romain Michaud was the one married to Flavie. He married his second wife, Alice, the daughter of Michael White and Mary Catherine Kavanaugh, on 6 Mar 1848 at Ste Luce, with whom he had 7 children.
