Soucy Hill Farm
Media Title | Soucy Hill Farm |
Media Notes | According to Lois Bouchard, "the picture taken years ago in front of the Soucy farm was taken in 1915. That is my mother on the porch and she was only 10 years when that picture was taken. She told me at one time that she will always remember that day. Aunt Mamie was away for the day and Grampy Soucy wanted a picture taken with his boys only. Mom had asked to be in the picture and was told no!! Grandmere told mom to change her dress and stand on the porch and she would be in the picture anyway. If you look closely at the window near the front door you will see a flash of white and that is Grandmere. So mom had her picture taken after all. By my records left to right are Theophile Soucy, Willie Soucy, Tom Soucy, and Alcide Tardie. The sign over the porch was a advertisement of something he was selling as he was always selling something." |
